How Idaho Republicans Are Losing A Fight to Rainbows; SCOTUS Decides Sticks And Stones May Break Your Bones, But Gay Conversion Therapy Can’t Hurt You; Teen Fertility Rate is Down 7% — and that’s not a “Problem,” FOX News; The Tale of GoDaddy Losing a 18-year Customer; No Kings Rally in Grants Pass, But Plenty of Dead Naked Babies; F You, Puppymobile!
Idaho passes the nation’s harshest criminal penalties for a transgender person using a bathroom or changing room that aligns with their gender, then threatens the City of Boise with fines of $2,000 per day for flying the Progress Pride Flag, all on March 31, the national Transgender Day of Visibility. Boise has responded by covering city property with rainbows.
The Supreme Court has ruled 8–1 that Colorado’s ban on so-called gay conversion therapy in unconstitutional. Apparently, it is a free speech and religious rights issue for doctors to use a practice condemned as torture by every relevant pediatric organization and shown statistically to quadruple a gay kid’s risk for suicide and self-harm. I note the last time the SCOTUS was ruling in favor of free speech rights for doctors, it was in Conant v. Walters recognizing a physician’s right to recommend medical marijuana free from the threats of the Clinton Administration suspending their controlled substance prescription licenses.
A FOX News guest complaining about the 7% decline in birthrate for girls and women between 15 and 19 years old exposes the White Christian Nationalist views that 1) the girls who were victimized by the Epstein Class are seen by the fundamentalists as being of “biblical marrying age and 2) these girls need to be pumping out white babies to counter the “Great Replacement” of the Black and brown hordes invading White Christian America.
The problem is that the teenage fertility rate isn't down *enough*, right? Right?
